Can you tell I love working with this amazing lady? She never fails at making my job effortless when it comes to ideas, themes, posing, make up (she is a pro makeup artist, duh!), and even post processing. You can find her information at the end of this post if you would like to schedule an appointment with her, or grab her for your next session with me!

Can you guess the theme of our session?

Solo Trip #1 // Oak Island/ South Port/ Bald Head Island

I am making 2014 my year of solo trips and over the weekend I left on a two day adventure to my favorite place in the world, Oak Island & Bald Head Island NC.

I had a really LATE start but driving took about 7 hours and 50 minutes roughly and approx 514 miles driven give or take. I probably looked like a crazy person going down the road as I was caterwauling at the top of my lungs to Lovedrug, however  I made it to Oak Island, by myself, with my small Key West trailing behind me.

I got there at about three in the morning, rested, and then got up about 7 am the next morning. Adventured and drove around the island then finally took port in South Port to head for the little island, Bald Head.

(this is the best place to get your sugary confections fix on)

On my Key West, it took me probably an hour and half to get there. Normally, you can take the ferry and get there much quicker, but who has time for that?!

I am highly suprised the Dockmaster didn't charge me a hefty fee... maybe it was because I'm a lady...or that I'm a lady driving a boat... by myself.. who knows.

There aren't many cars on the island, most of the locals use golf carts to get around.

This is the cutest little church I've ever seen.

(I made friends with a squirrel on this trip, he followed me everywhere the whole time.... I did not give him any treats..)

Back to main land, and more exploring.

The Flying Pig is by far my favorite place for coffee, scones, and other delicious things! The locals will tell you just as much as I will, they seriously have never disapointed anyone, ever.
